The History of Xeno Fighters EX-R: 1998-2009 (HD)

Xeno Fighters EX-R has quite a history behind it since its original conception in 1998. During that time, it underwent three game name changes, three different development platforms, and numerous gameplay revisions. I wanted to make my own Raiden Fighters-style fangame after getting hooked on the game in the arcades. My first attempt was called Kamikaze, and a prototype was made in 1998 on a game-making software called Klik ‘n Play. It never got past the prototype stage due to my difficulty …

Oh god, I remember Klik N Play! That’s actually pretty impressive for it.

Cool look back JS, I’ve got to say that’s a very cool and informitve history of your game. Look forward to playing the Final Version Of XF EX-R in the future.

This took forever to load, but it was well worth it.

If you mean the latest game, Google is your friend. Otherwise I believe the other older versions are no longer online.

It’s an original song titled “Agony”, composed by Storm. I found it at MODPlug’s music site.

Oh… so THAT’S what happened. I know how that can be… it’s the exact same drag that consumed the life of my old Windows 2000 and XP laptops (I use a Vista one nowadays). Sorry about that… <:-( Considering all of the projects you’ve been keeping on the table and maintaining for so long, I’m not surprised that your CPU would end up getting pushed THIS far to its limits.

About my disappearance: My laptop was having severe problems with the cooling system. Anything CPU-intensive = overheating.

That is why I have not uploaded any new videos here. Had to look around and find a place to get replacement parts for my laptop.

The random Super Mario World sound effects seem so out of place in a game like this. Awesome vid though.

Good to see you’re still making videos, JS. Hopefully you’ll be able to make some new Mugen ones soon (I’ve actually taken up HSR’s Predator Warrior myself in recent years, and started doing matches with him because I grew impatient with waiting for you to make new ones).

Glad to understand you’re still here.
